Game Engine Unity Expands to Blockchain
Unity, a cross-platform game engine, is now supporting decentralization in gaming, per a press release from today.
What It Means
The "Decentralization" category page on the Unity Asset Store now has 13 compatible solutions. Developers can use software development kits (SDKs) to integrate NFTs, tokens, and on-chain programs into Unity-based games. They'll also be able to integrate marketplaces and facilitate interaction with wallets.
Biggest Music NFTs in February: Violetta Zironi, Rihanna, Snoop Dogg, Tycho, KINGSHIP – Billboard
February was a big month for music and NFTs. Spotify plugged into Web3 with a token-gated playlist experiment, while Def Jam Records signed a virtual band. Snoop Dogg returned with a fresh NFT drop and Rihanna fans got the chance to own streaming royalties in “Bitch Better Have My Money,” right in time for her Super Bowl halftime show — although the NFT drop was not without controversy.
Overall, crypto prices crept higher in February, with Ethereum now up 46% from the start of the year. Based on analysis of sales data from 19 different NFT platforms, independent releases combined with secondary sales volume on OpenSea, here are the 10 biggest-selling music NFTs and collections in February 2023.
Galaxy predicts Bitcoin NFT Market to reach $4.5 billion by 2025
According to a report by Galaxy Digital analysts, Bitcoin Ordinals’ rapid growth during the last month is just the beginning. The prediction is based on Bitcoin-based non-fungible tokens, currency market facilities and chances of taking away market share from Ethereum. Galaxy Digital has predicted its market might hit over $10 billion if it competes with Ethereum NFTs along with offering unique cases.
Danny Cole's “Crowd” Collection Just Sold 38K NFTs
The latest addition to the NFT open edition trend is Danny Cole’s “Crowd” via his Creature World NFT project – selling upwards of 38,045 editions. The Crowd collection is hosted on OpenSea and is currently the most talked about the project in the space. At 0.29 ETH per NFT, the digital collectible open edition mints amassed over 1,103 ETH (~ $1.7 million)!
